Nosey Simon

This is a working internship, meaning interns will "learn by doing" and become a vital part of the hospitality and small farm operation.
Interns are required to work outdoors in all weather – heat, humidity, cold, rain, etc. All applicants need to be fit, able to work independently and as a team, be service-oriented, have excellent customer relationship skills, a self-starter, and a positive attitude. Prior work experience with hospitality and farming is not required, but a willingness to learn and work hard is a must!

Intern responsibilities will cover all aspects of growing and farm maintenance. This will include starting plants, preparing soil, transplanting, installing drip irrigation, garden maintenance such as weeding, composting, harvesting, pest management, and more.
Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to: animal care, taking reservations, guest services, housekeeping, grounds/building maintenance, and check-ins and check-outs.

If you are thinking about starting your own bed and breakfast, would like to get some farming experience, or just want to spend time working outside in a beautiful, quiet environment, our intern program is a perfect opportunity.

The daily hour commitment will vary depending on seasonal demands, but interns will be expected to work alongside the owners 25-30hr per week (weekends included). Our 2021 internship begins now and ends November 5. Besides gaining knowledge and experience, the internship pays $10.00/hr.
